Fall Shut - Down Procedures |
| 1. Turn controller to "OFF" position. |
| 2. Close mainirrigation shut-off valve near water meter. |
3. Winterize underground lines from external hose bib, close external irrigation valve. ------------ - (Winterization service is available from Instarain) |
| 4. Open drain valve or drain cap on irrigation supply line & drain any remaining water. |
| 5. Note: If drain begins dripping during winter check the main shut off valve may be slightly open or leaking and should be repaired. |
Spring Start - Up Procedures |
| 1. Turn controller to "Run" position. |
| 2. Close drain valve / cap on irrigation supply line. |
| 3. Close external hose bib & open external irrigation valve. |
| 4. Slowly open main irrigation shut-off valve to 1/2 flow - water should stop flowing once the irrigation line is filled to the valve box. |
| 5. If flow doesn't stop, check the valve box for a possible leak or a zone valve stuck in the open postion. |
| 6. Run each zone through a manual cycle, 1-2 minutes. |
| 7. Fully open main irrigation shut-off valve. |
